We arrange conventional financing through private money and institutional sources for non-traditional or unique situation requests from $2,000,000 to $90,000,000. We have established relationships with more than 1,000 lending institutions and 500 private lender sources Nationwide. These include 35+ year relationships with Private Money Sources, Home Offices, Banks, Thrifts, Credit Companies, Life Companies, Pension Funds, REITS, SBA Loans, and Conduits. Geographically, we are active throughout the Western States.
BFC has provided funds for project Equity, Joint Ventures, Mezzanine Debt, Participating Loans and Property Sales. We also have the ability to arrange Lines of Credit, Sale of Mortgage Portfolios, Second Mortgages and Hypothecation of Notes.
R. Joseph Moore – President
R. Joseph Moore formed Baltimore Financial, a boutique mortgage and investment brokerage firm, which would be responsive to the needs of small and middle market developers and investors. Mr. Moore brings more than 40 years of experience in banking, mortgage banking and real estate development to BFC. Prior to forming BFC, Mr. Moore was responsible for the Northern California real estate lending division for The Imperial Bank. Prior to this, he was responsible for the San Francisco real estate lending region for Union Bank. In these capacities, his responsibilities included financing major developments nationwide and smaller developments locally. Projects included all types of commercial and residential real estate. Prior to joining these institutions, Mr. Moore was active in loan origination and appraisal of residential properties for Mason-McDuffie Co. Throughout his career Mr. Moore has been personally responsible for financing in excess of $2 billion in real estate. In addition, Mr. Moore spent several years with a client, Haas and Haynie, a major developer concentrating on high-rise office buildings and hotels throughout the Western United States. He has also developed and renovated residential and commercial/income property projects locally for his own account. Upon graduating from San Jose University, where he received a BS degree in Business and Industrial Management, Mr. Moore received a Certificate in Real Estate from the University of California. He is a graduate of The School of Mortgage Banking at Northwestern University. A licensed Real Estate Broker and General Contractor, Mr. Moore is a member of the Bay Area Mortgage Association, the California Mortgage Association, The California Association of Mortgage Brokers , the Texas Longhorn Breeders of America, the Rotary Club of Petaluma, and the Petaluma Yacht Club. He lives in Sonoma County with his wife and three sons where he has been a baseball and soccer coach. Two older children are college graduates and have their own businesses. Mr. Moore is the past President and member of the Executive Board of the Marin Council Boy Scouts.
Eva Bunaes – Office Manager
Eva Bunaes brings to Baltimore Financial Corporation team more than 20 years of professional business experience in real estate finance, office management, and exceptional customer service. Prior to joining Baltimore Financial Corporation (BFC) team, Eva was the District Secretary at a Marin County Public Agency. In this capacity she served as the liaison for the citizens, assisting with their requests on various projects and resolving issues. Prior to the public agency, Eva was an executive assistant to a team of Banking Directors at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse in San Francisco in their Real Estate Division. The firm was active in providing debt and equity to the major real estate developers and investors through out the United States. Eva began her career as a flight attendant with a major airline and spent 20 years traveling the world before getting married and starting a family. In addition to assisting the President of Baltimore Financial, Eva serves as the office manager and liaison for marketing and IT services. She lives with her family in Sonoma County.
